Matthew B. Thompson has joined Brown & Barron as an associate with the firm. Although Matthew initially began his legal career representing financial institutions in real estate transactions, he ultimately followed his passion in order to fight for those who have been wrongfully injured. As an experienced litigator, Matthew helps clients who face health complications stemming from nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, wrongful death, toxic torts, and other catastrophic personal injuries. As a result of his successful advocacy, Matthew has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 Trial Attorney in 2019 and 2020 and a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star℠ from 2019-2022.Matthew’s zealous representation of his clients has resulted in multiple seven-figure verdicts as a trial attorney and the recovery of over $20,000,000 in verdicts and negotiated settlements since 2018.Matthew, born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and a Loyola Blakefield graduate, has worked tirelessly throughout his life to foster strong personal and professional relationships in order to improve the lives of those around him. Matthew is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA (B.A. 2011) and the University of Baltimore, Baltimore, MD (J.D., magna cum laude, 2014).He is admitted to practice law throughout all of Maryland in both state and federal courts. Matthew currently resides in north Baltimore with his wife, two sons, and dog.
