Christopher M. Somerville is a senior associate at Brown & Barron. His current practice focuses on nursing home abuse and neglect, and medical malpractice. Prior to joining the firm, Chris clerked for the Hon. Julie R. Rubin at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City (before Judge Rubin’s appointment to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland).
Chris graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in school, he participated in a year-long clinical program, which partnered with the University of Maryland Medical System to provide legal aid to individuals living with HIV in order to reduce stressors that can exacerbate health conditions. As a Rule 19 student attorney, Chris successfully argued a motion in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and was a part of a small team of students who litigated a Landlord/Tenant matter.
Prior to his legal career, Chris worked in account management in the pharmaceutical advertising and insurance industries.
