National Consumer Voice Declares October 2019 as Residents’ Rights Month

October 2019 is Residents’ Rights Month from The National Consumer Voice. Nursing home abuse and neglect are growing problems across the country, yet there is not enough attention brought to them. The Residents’ Rights Month campaign is one way to spread the word and hope to all residents living in long-term care and assisted living facilities.

Stand for Quality

At Brown & Barron in Baltimore, our law firm gives a voice and offers legal advocacy to nursing home residents who have suffered abuse and neglect from a caretaking team they once trusted. We are proud to help promote Residents’ Rights Month by discussing it with you and our peers, clients, families, and community members.

If you would like to participate in Residents’ Rights Month, consider taking the Residents’ Voice Challenge from The National Consumer Voice group. The “challenge” encourages people to share how they stand for quality care for seniors and others who need day-to-day living care. You can write an essay or poem, paint a picture or drawing, film a video, and so on to show your spirit. There are plenty of ways to participate, and they all make a positive difference.

You can also participate by printing out an “I Stand for Quality” sign, finishing the thought, and submitting a picture of you holding it for the organization to share on their social media accounts.
