Brown & Barron Verdict Recognized Among Top 100 Wrongful Death Verdicts in the U.S.

The case was tried by PartnersEmily “E.J.” Hammann and Christopher T. Casciano, who represented the family of a man who died following a preventable surgical injury at a Baltimore hospital.
As reported in a feature article by the Maryland Daily Record, the jury awarded $6 million for wrongful death and $2.3 million for the survival action after finding that a surgical team failed to recognize and treat a bowel perforation, leading to fatal complications.
